After joining KGI Life (formerly known as China Life) in 2003, Alan initiated a number of mergers and acquisitions projects. With his extraordinary vision and management competency, Alan led the team to achieve record performance and profitability, growing the Company asset by over 16 times, and having the Company become the fifth largest life insurance company in Taiwan and one of the leading brands in the market. After he assumed the position of CDF President, he led the team to a successful transformation, and achieved record high profit in the same year.

Lead the team to achieve greatness with forward-looking vision
· Completed mergers and acquisitions of Winterthur Life's Taiwan Branch, Prudential’s and Allianz’s Taiwan operations. The M&A with Winterthur Life (Taiwan) was the first case where a foreign insurer was merged by a local life insurer.
· Established the team with risk management as its core competitiveness. KGI Life was the only major insurance company in Taiwan to avoid the subprime mortgage crisis during the global financial tsunami in 2008.
· Collaborated with China Construction Bank, the world’s second largest bank in market cap, to invest in CCB Life, becoming the first Taiwan life insurer to have equity investment in life insurance business in China.
