KGI Life received an award for Education Promotion at the Global Views ESG Corporate Sustainability Awards, one of Taiwan’s most credible ESG benchmarks, for its Financial Empowerment Initiative for the Disadvantaged.
With anti-fraud education at its core, KGI Life has systematically built a financial anti-fraud ecosystem for disadvantaged groups and expanded it into a broader social safety network. The initiative supports SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities and reflects the company’s commitment to financial inclusion.
The role of the insurance industry has evolved from post-event compensation to proactive risk prevention. As fraud schemes become increasingly sophisticated, financially vulnerable groups require accessible education that reflects real-world challenges. Since 2022, KGI Life has promoted financial literacy and anti-fraud education, developing tailored materials for five key groups: the elderly, youth, indigenous peoples, new immigrants, and people with disabilities.
The company has launched anti-fraud materials in nine languages, along with videos in Mandarin, Taiwanese, and sign language. It has also incorporated common fraud scenarios into its financial education board game, offering accessible and bilingual versions to promote inclusion. To extend its impact, KGI Life has trained care workers, interpreters, sign-language interpreters, and volunteers as anti-fraud advocates. It has also signed an MOU with the Criminal Investigation Bureau to provide anti-fraud training for employees, while partnering with the real estate sector to strengthen asset protection.
Through cross-sector collaboration and education, KGI Life will continue to advance inclusive finance and build a stronger social safety net.
