
KGI Life has won 12 honors at the 2026 Faith, Hope & Love Awards of Insurance, a record, and became the first and only life insurer in Taiwan to receive the corporate Special Contribution Award since the establishment of the category in 2015. Financial Supervisory Commission Chairman Dr. Jin-Lung Peng presented the award, which recognized the group insurance program KGI Life developed within 48 hours for volunteers supporting reconstruction in Guangfu Township, Hualien. The first policy of its kind in Taiwan, it turned insurance into frontline disaster support and led the industry to establish a standing mechanism for volunteer coverage.
Its other awards span insurance expertise, financial education, distribution strategy, agency operations, talent development and social contribution, with five top prizes for professional excellence, best agency, career achievement, professional advisory work and social contribution, and six further honors of distinction.
KGI Life credited digital technology, talent development and channel integration for its performance. Its pass rate for life insurance licensing reached 72 percent, the highest among Taiwan's four largest life insurers, while 53 percent of employees hold sustainability credentials, averaging 4.12 professional certifications each. It introduced the industry's first AI role-play training system, used by nearly 80 percent of agents and credited with a 25 percent rise in policies closed, and its 13-month retention rate for new agents reached 90.2 percent. First-year premiums grew 33.2 percent in 2025, against an industry average of 19.7 percent. On inclusive finance, KGI Life has ranked in the top 25 percent of life insurers in the regulator's Assessment of Treating Customers Fairly Principles for a sixth time. It has produced anti-fraud kits in Mandarin, Taiwanese, sign language and nine other languages, trained 31 anti-fraud ambassadors with the Criminal Investigation Bureau, and developed bilingual large-print board games for financial education.
