KGIL Promotes Anti-fraud Awareness and Education

According to the National Police Agency, in the fourth quarter of 2024, there were 72,135 fraud cases, resulting in NT$49.1 billion financial losses. AI technology is emerging and scamming tricks are evolving. Face swap, voice change and other new tricks are impossible to guard against. To enhance the financial awareness of the elderly, the disadvantaged, and people in far-flung areas, KGIL volunteer group headed to indigenous tribes located in Wulai, New Taipei City to organize anti-fraud awareness events and charity donation. Volunteers used real-life examples and Q&A section to teach people to identify scamming tricks, enhance their financial literacy, and reduce the risk of being frauded because of information gap. In addition, KGIL also prepared sufficient goods and essentials for families in rural areas, allowing them to spend a worry-free Lunar New Year.

KGIL takes concrete actions to respond to social issues and continues to do our part in helping enhance the public’s financial literacy. Promoting anti-fraud know-hows and making insurance knowledge more accessible to the many are our goals. In that way, many more disadvantaged families will be taken care of, strengthening the social safety net.
