KGIL’s Record-breaking Employee Volunteering

To put our promise for diversity, fairness, and cohesiveness into practice, KGI Life (formerly known as “China Life”) established “Love is Volunteering” Group that connects NGOs across Taiwan. The Group responded to the vision of environmental sustainability by holding beach-, mountain-, and community-cleaning events. However, we did not stop there. The Company incorporates the core function of insurance to serve diverse and intergenerational groups. We use the expertise that we have to help close the financial divide and provide the financially disadvantaged, for example, the elderly, visually impaired, hearing impaired, and people with dementia, with fraud-prevention know-hows and financial knowledges. The goal is to realize financial inclusion in the life insurance sector and take multi-pronged approaches for sustainability.

KGIL is people-centric and the number of hours devoted by our employees to volunteering has been record-breaking. The Company encourages employees to participate in social services and provide them with four paid day leaves for volunteering. Employees can choose volunteer programs based on their interests and skills. Through interaction with service recipients, employees learn to pay attention to other corners of the society and be more empathetic. In 2023, 90% of our office staff participated in volunteer programs and the accumulated number of service hour reached 50,000.

Together, volunteers bring warmth onto the society. KGIL puts corporate social responsibility into practice and keeps our promise of co-prosperity with customers. The goal is to build a corporate culture based on equity and equality and expand our external impact to bring stability to the society. Love and care never end.
