China Life Purchases Happy Socks From the Maria Foundation to Help Mentally Disadvantaged Youths

Jan 10, 2023

Organized by the Maria Foundation, the first ever crowd-funded ”Merry Young Happy Sock Shop” was recently launched in Taichung. Mayor Shiow-Yen Lu was invited to cut the ribbon and the sock shop even received orders from customers. China Life approves of the Maria Foundation’s philosophy and worked with the foundation to launch co-branded environmentally friendly renewable socks. The Company purchased 3,000 pairs for employees, becoming the first partnering enterprise to place customized orders. Fund-raising has become difficult for many social welfare foundations during the pandemic. As a long term welfare partners of the Maria Foundation, China Life launched the “One policy, one blessing” campaign and placed extra orders, giving blessing and warmth during the cold winter.
China Life has long supported the Maria Foundation and helped the mentally disadvantaged in terms of increasing their soft skills and helping them seek comfort through art classes. In addition, China Life has provided facility funds for the severe-impairment services, ensuring more comprehensive services for close to a hundred mentally disadvantaged individuals. Moreover, China Life has offered support in reconstructing the historical photograph wall, displaying the foundation’s efforts and enhancing social exposure. China Life hopes to leverage its financial influence to encourage the public to support the disadvantaged and continues to work with its social welfare partners to achieving sustainability and prosperity.
