KGI Life President Leads Volunteer Group in Anti-Fraud Promotion for Seniors

Jun 12, 2025

KGI Life is actively responding to government anti-fraud policies, leading a volunteer group to promote anti-fraud and financial knowledge, particularly for high-risk elderly individuals. With fraud methods constantly evolving, including increasing trends in fake online shopping and fake buyer scams in addition to prevalent fake investment scams, KGI Life, a financial institution at the forefront of anti-fraud, collaborates with the National Police Agency through the "Police-Financial Collaboration" mechanism. KGI Life President, Yu-Ling Kuo, led a volunteer team to the "Longevity Co-learning Hall" of the Elder Welfare Concerned Association. They presented the "KGI Life Longevity Anti-Fraud Grand Theater," featuring short plays where volunteers and elderly participants jointly acted out common scam scenarios, such as online shopping fraud, investment Line groups, scam mules, and romance scams. This initiative aims to educate seniors on the latest fraud techniques and impart correct financial concepts, embodying KGI Life's "We Share We Link" spirit.

President Kuo emphasized that anti-fraud is a crucial social responsibility for financial institutions. KGI Life maintains a "top-down, all hands on deck, proactive care" anti-fraud corporate culture. KGI Life's customer service center has successfully intercepted numerous potential scam cases, helping policyholders save millions in assets, an achievement recognized by the National Police Agency. Given Taiwan's transition into a super-aged society, elder fraud is a severe issue, as scammers exploit seniors' kindness, information asymmetry, and lack of consultation. Seniors are advised to call the 165 anti-fraud hotline or KGI Life's toll-free service line (0800-098-889) if they receive suspicious calls.

KGI Life continues to expand its financial anti-fraud network, extending mechanisms like "Police-Financial Collaboration" and "Property-Financial Collaboration" to diverse groups including the elderly, disabled, economically disadvantaged, indigenous, new immigrants, and young students. To date, KGI Life has held over 80 anti-fraud lectures and released Mandarin and Taiwanese dual-language anti-fraud micro-videos, establishing a comprehensive anti-fraud system.
