KGI Life Rolls out Healthy Aging Strategy for the Elderly

Mar 14, 2024

As Taiwan will soon become a super-aged society, the Taiwan Alzheimer’s Disease Association (TADA) estimates that the number of people with dementia in Taiwan will rise from 320,000 to 660,000 by 2041. This is a pressing issue that requires immediate attention from the public. KGI Life (formerly China Life) has proactively proposed a “healthy aging” strategy to address this issue. The Company is evolving its policyholder care from post-claim services to promoting physical and mental health and prevention.

Recognizing that social isolation and loneliness can have negative impacts on physical and mental health and quality of life, KGI Life has taken the lead in partnering with Duofu Care & Service. They provide policyholders with value-added services such as “barrier-free travel” and “barrier-free transportation”. Furthermore, they have introduced advanced brain games, fitness courses, and dementia lectures from the “Duofu Academy”. This helps the senior policyholders, referred to as “new adults”, to cultivate habits of continuous exercise and brain activity. In conjunction with KGI Life’s financial insurance and anti-fraud knowledge courses, they assist the “new adults” in accumulating comprehensive health capital in terms of physical, psychological, and financial aspects. This also satisfies their emotional and social needs after retirement. Through a diverse range of courses including fitness, brain health, and financial knowledge, KGI Life is implementing the concept of sustainable insurance. This helps those preparing for retirement or the “new adults” who have retired, to achieve a happy life with physical/mental health and financial security.
