KGI Life has become the first life insurer in Taiwan to receive a five-star Barrier-Free Environment Certification, demonstrating its commitment to building an inclusive and accessible financial experience. In alignment with the Financial Supervisory Commission’s policy and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), KGI Life has proactively enhanced its services and service environments to meet the needs of persons with disabilities, setting a new benchmark in the insurance industry.
Partnering with the Duofu Barrier-Free Live and Transportation Development Association, KGI Life upgraded accessibility features in its customer service centers and provided training for both frontline and senior service staff. All service locations across Taiwan have been equipped with accessible counters, restrooms, wheelchairs, and mobility aids. The customer service center in Taipei has taken accessibility a step further by introducing tactile maps and friendly signage, establishing itself as a model for the industry. In addition, the company’s digital platform has obtained accessibility certification and now offers inclusive tools such as product guides, a plain-language insurance glossary, and Braille labeling services for visually impaired users, helping bridge the digital divide.
KGI Life will continue to advance financial inclusion, strengthen its accessibility services, and uphold its core belief of "Treating customers fairly as we would ourselves", striving to become the most recommended and trustworthy life insurance company.
