Sep 3, 2024

According to the National Immigration Office, the number of new residents including the second generation has surpassed a million, making this group the fifth biggest in Taiwan. Therefore, the issue of caring for new residents has been given more importance and attention. For new residents, insurance jargons are professional. If someone can explain these jargons in their native languages, it will help with communication and understanding. According to KGIL’s president, Yu-Ling Kuo, the Company recognizes the difficulty of living in a foreign country for new residents and has taken concrete actions to facilitate financial equality and social inclusion for diverse groups. In addition, KGIL will leverage its core competencies to realize SDGs.

The Company is the first in the finance sector to provide financial friendly services that cater to the needs of the new residents. After providing multilingual interpretation services and holding anti-scam seminars for the group, KGIL has again become the pioneer in the industry to offer advanced insurance courses for interpreters to help new residents join KGIL and integrate into local communities. Advanced insurance courses empower those interpreters who are also new residents by counseling them about registering for life insurance agent exam. The Company hopes that these interpreters can disseminate correct insurance knowledge to more new residents to help them better understand insurance and strengthen their family protection. Furthermore, this project provides job opportunities for those second generation new residents, injecting stabilizing and heart-warming force onto our society.
