KGIL Cleans Up Beaches for Three Years Straight

KGIL has long paid attention to beach conservation issue and called on employees to join beach cleanup for three years straight, cleaning out more than 450 kg of marine debris. This year, the Company held beach cleanup at San tiao lun in Yunlin and Nanzi in Kaohsiung City to respond to SDG 14: conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development and SDG 15: protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial, bringing beauty back to the coastline. Moreover, this year marks the tenth year that KGIL responds to the Earth Hour, exerting our influence over corporate value chain.

To realize the Group’s 2045 net-zero target, KGIL has been proactively implementing green operation, promoting digital transformation, and collaborating with policyholders to safeguard the environment. Because of these efforts, KGIL received multiple recognitions, including “Excellence” in promoting green procurement and green consumption by the EPA, “Excellence” in promoting green procurement and green consumption by the Taipei city government, Top 100 Corporate Sustainability Awards, and National Sustainable Development Awards. Furthermore, according to the Common Wealth Magazine, KGIL was the only insurer that meets the requirement of 1.5℃ target put forward by the Paris agreement. These results are the testament to KGIL’s concrete actions taken to address carbon emissions and efforts put in to realize the sustainable vision for our environment.
