For four years in a row, the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy has organized the Taiwan Sustainable Investment Awards (Taiwan SIA). Since its commencement, KGI Life has fulfilled its stewardship as an institutional investor through proactive investment management and won the Taiwan SIA for four years in a row. In 2024, KGI Life again won the excellence award for the life insurers under the influential institution category, as well as the silver award of the shareholder action category.
In 2018, KGI Life voluntarily signed the compliance declaration of the Stewardship Principles for Institutional Investors published by the Corporate Governance Center of the Taiwan Stock Exchange. Its responsible investment policy clearly states the Company’s voting and engagement policies related to shareholder action, exerting its influence on the industry value chain as an institutional investor. In 2023, KGI Life further formulated the Compliance Policy of Stewardship Principles for Institutional Investors, and established the Stewardship Section on its corporate website, where the Company’s stewardship practices and shareholder action achievements are annually published.
As a member of the financial industry, KGI Life plays an importance role in promoting the economic activities, carrying on responsible investment practices, and exerting its influence as an institutional investor. The Company is committed to its core life insurance business and devoted to sustainable development by responding to the domestic sustainable financial policy and engaging the investees in dialogues. This will motivate sustainability action in the industry value chain, create sustainability investment opportunities, as well as realize the sustainable development goals.
