For eight years in a row, KGI Life has once again been recognized by the Department of Environmental Protection, Taipei City Government for its implementation of green procurement and promotion of green consumption philosophy. In 2023, green procurement amount reached NT$55 million. The Company is recognized for excellence in promoting green procurement and green consumption in 2023.
Pushing forward environmental prosperity is one of the sustainability values of KGI Life. The Company has continued to promote measures to make contribution to environmental sustainability. To realize the influence from the value chain of the life insurance industry, KGI Life has provided more and more innovative and low-carbon insurance services and environmental sustainable measures. They include the promotion of e-policy and Smile to Sign remote insurance enrollment that help reduce paper use, as well as non-toxic and environmentally-friendly soy ink for print products. Our suppliers are also invited to join the carbon reduction movement. Upholding the philosophy of sustainable operation, KGI Life takes concrete action to support local suppliers by purchasing eco-friendly and energy-saving green products featuring “less polluting, energy saving and recyclable”. Exerting the influence of corporate procurement to the society, the Company will continue to materialize the sustainability concept in its daily businesses and operational processes.
