China Life Took Actions to Respond to the Elderly-friendly Trend

Dec 14, 2022

According to the WHO, every three seconds, someone in the world develops dementia. Study conducted by the Taiwan Alzheimer Disease Association (TADA) shows that more than 310,000 people have dementia in Taiwan. In other words, 1 out of every 74 people is potentially a dementia patient. As Taiwan is soon to become a super-aged society, the crisis of dementia is looming. People with dementia have cognitive impairment. Therefore, this group often makes headlines for financial difficulty or victims of financial frauds or exploitations. China Life strives to become the “Financial Guardian for the Elderly” by putting forward a website for financial safety and a guiding manual. In addition, China Life cooperated with TADA in designing a bilingual helpcard to prevent people living with dementia from getting lost. These helpcards were handed out to representatives from the UK, Japan, Singapore and other 20 countries in the “2022 ADI Asia Pacific Regional Conference.” China Life took concrete actions to support the elderly-friendly initiative.
