KGIL Rolls Out 3 Action Plans to Prevent Fraud

According to the Ministry of the Interior, in January 2025 alone, scam-induced fraud losses surpassed NT$9.5 billion, indicating the problem of fraud has become worse. After Lunar New Year, financial transactions have been more active and scam groups has taken on the chance to deceive consumers. People have to be more alert. KGIL responds to the anti-fraud strategy guidelines put forward by the Executive Yuan by promoting three action plans to preventing, intercepting, and identifying fraud. Furthermore, the Company has established a dedicated An Fu 165 anti-fraud zone on the official website and worked with other sectors to disseminate anti-fraud knowledge to help citizens combat fraud and raise their awareness. In addition, KGIL led the sector to be the first to include fraud prevention mechanism into the elderly friendly insurance service guidelines, publish short anti-fraud videos, and launch service counter anti-fraud SOP, strengthening the capability of the first-line to intercept frauds. Multiple successful interceptions have won the Company the recognition from the National Police Agency, the only insurer to receive such honor.

KGIL understands that financial education is the first line of defense of fraud prevention and hence continues promoting anti-fraud awareness to the elderly, the economically disadvantaged, new residents, and young people. In the past three years, 70 seminars were held. This year, the Company has mobilized agents and employees and worked with police agency to promote anti-fraud knowledge. KGIL is now a certified company on the anti-fraud APP and has introduced its own SMS short code “68889” to allow policyholders to identify official information sources to avoid falling prey to swindlers.
