China Life has promoted corporate volunteering for over 10 years. Every year, we push our limit and strive for growth, encouraging employees to roll up their sleeves to make our society a better place. We hope these actions can guide employees to embrace their inner kindness and love. These year, China Life focuses on three initiatives — increasing paid volunteer leave, conducing volunteer training, and expanding service scope to clear hurdles that may prevent employees from turning their kind intentions into actions. As of April this year, 70% of office staff has devoted time into volunteer work and total service hour has reached 25,000.
Facing with climate change and sustainable finance issues, China Life takes concrete actions to respond to societal demands. Besides response to “Insurance for the Earth”, beach cleaning initiative launched by the Life Insurance Association, China Life further expands service scope this year, touching areas like environment, visual-impaired, hearing-impaired, and animals. Employee can choose any area of interest for volunteer work, making charity work more diverse and fun. Furthermore, volunteer work can help employees not only see their self-worth but also cultivate cohesiveness and gratitude. China Life and employees work together toward a carbon-free, green, and sustainable future.
