Homeless people are oftentimes by themselves and work day and night for basic food and warmth. They seldom have the opportunity for warm interactions with other people. KGIL understands their predicament of poor social support. At the year end, the Company made donation to the Homeless Taiwan Association to help them hold a year-end gathering for the homeless. People attended not only enjoyed a good meal but also had human interactions for connection and support, allowing them to jump out the vicious cycle of homelessness and have a chance to regain independence.
KGIL has long cared for the underprivileged groups. By helping the homeless build social connections, we have opened a window for these people who wander on the street. In 2023, the Company responded to the “City Street Walk” event launched by the Homeless Taiwan Association. KGIL encouraged employees to volunteer and help the homeless become local tour guides. Being a tour guide not only creates more opportunities for the homeless to interact with others but also improves the public’s perception of this group. With “commitment to your prosperity”, the corporate value proposition in mind, KGIL is committed to our corporate social responsibilities and care for the underprivileged. Through volunteer participation by our employees, KGIL worked with the Association to help the homeless strengthen their interpersonal connection and provided social workers with insurance to build a more complete social safety net.
