According to the National Police Agency, the daily average of seniors who were scammed and suffered financial losses was 14 in 2023. In some cases, victims lost houses worth of tens of millions of dollars. KGIL worked with Yungching, a real estate agency, to hold anti-fraud seminars and the Duofu Academy invited seniors to participate.
During the seminar, Mrs. Chen shared her own story of being frauded and said “This seminar is very useful. Thank KGIL for the effort put in holding this seminar because I learn how to protect my own property and money.” Another senior, Mr. Li heard about how victims lost their life savings and title deeds in scams and worried that he might be the next victim because of his insufficient anti-fraud knowledge. Therefore, he wished to attend more seminars like this to learn about new knowledge.
