Microinsurance has a special place in financial inclusion. Its core spirits are to provide basic insurance coverage for economically disadvantaged households and build a safety net for them so that these families can work towards a better life without worry. Corporate social responsibility is a commitment to sustainability and China Life manifests this commitment in corporate culture and spirits. The Company has long worked with many county and city governments to promote microinsurance through premium donation. “Treating customers fairly as you would have done to your family”, a spirit upheld by the Company is what drives China Life to continue providing protection to more economically disadvantaged groups. A way to materialize social value is by being underprivileged friendly. This year, China Life has again worked with Kaohsiung City Government to promote microinsurance and the goal is to expand social safety net. Until now, the Company has provided protection to 24,000 eligible underprivileged people in Kaohsiung. Deputy Secretary General of Kaohsiung City, Ms. Chen, Ying-Shiou presented a certificate of appreciation to the Company, recognizing its effort for delivering comprehensive protection to underprivileged families.
