KGI Life Won Three Awards for Microinsurance

Dec 15, 2025

KGI Life is expanding microinsurance sales as part of its commitment to financial inclusion and fair treatment of customers, helping vulnerable families access basic protection and reinforcing Taiwan’s social safety net. In the Financial Supervisory Commission’s 2025 Microinsurance Competition, the Company won three awards: Insurers Category, Outstanding Business Performance, and Disability Care. The Outstanding Business Performance Award marked KGI Life’s 11th consecutive win, while the Disability Care Award was secured for the sixth year running, underscoring sustained execution. Ms. Yuling Kuo, the president, said the initiative reflects KGI Life’s sustainability and social responsibility priorities under the “We Share, We Link” spirit.

In 2025, KGI Life partnered with six local governments—covering many regions with pronounced urban–rural disparities. Through this collaboration, the Company provided microinsurance coverage to more than 100,000 eligible vulnerable individuals this year. Since launching the program in 2014, both the insured population and total coverage have grown steadily. The achievement rate for microinsurance premiums reached 256% last year and stayed industry-leading at 215% from January to November 2025, with disability-related microinsurance exceeding 490%.

Over the past 11 years, KGI Life has delivered protection to cover 560,000 persons, aiming to ensure the timely provision of practical support for families who need it most. The Company will continue to improve accessibility for vulnerable groups and lend concrete support to those in need.
